Newborn Baby Photos Stockport

Those first few weeks with your baby pass by in a blur of feeds, cuddles and sleepless nights. A newborn photography session gives you the chance to pause and capture all the tiny details you never want to forget. From curled up toes and fluffy hair, to the beautiful connection between your growing family.

At my cosy home studio in Cheadle Hulme, I create relaxed and timeless newborn photography sessions using soft neutral tones and natural posing, focusing on your baby and the love you share as a family.

When should I book my Newborn Photography Photoshoot?

The best time to book your newborn session is during pregnancy, ideally after your 20 week scan. Booking guarantees availability around your due date, as I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month.

Your actual session date is then arranged once baby arrives.

What is the best age for newborn photos?

Newborn sessions are best when your baby is between 5-21 days old. During this stage, babies are usually sleepier and naturally curl into those beautiful sleepy poses that parents love.

If your baby is already older, please don’t worry – lovely natural newborn images can still be captured after two weeks old, with sessions tailored around your baby.

What happens during your newborn photography session?

Your newborn session takes place in my warm and welcoming home studio in Cheadle Hulme, designed to help both you and your baby feel comfortable and relax.

Sessions are completely baby-led and typically last between 2-3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddling and settling. Some are much shorter if baby sleeps throughout.

During the session I will gently guide your baby into natural poses while keeping safety and comfort the priority at all times. Parents and siblings are also encouraged to join in for relaxed family photographs that capture your connection together.

I provide a carefully selected range of wraps, blankets and accessories in timeless neutral colours to create soft, elegant images that will never date.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

Around three weeks after your newborn session, you will be invited back to the studio for your private viewing appointment. This is where you will see your beautifully edited gallery and choose your favourite images and artwork for your home.
